British Airways has increased long-haul capacity on key routes, adding extra flights to and from Singapore and Bangkok amid ongoing disruption affecting its Middle East operations.
In an update shared on March 13, the airline confirmed it will operate four additional flights between London and Singapore and three between London and Bangkok. The extra services are aimed at helping passengers whose journeys have been disrupted and supporting those trying to return to the UK.
The move builds on an earlier update, where British Airways said it would schedule additional flights to both destinations during the following week to assist affected travellers. Meanwhile, the airline said it is continuing to review its operations and may introduce further flights if needed.

These changes come as British Airways deals with disruption to several routes between London Heathrow and destinations in the Middle East. The airline said it has cancelled a number of flights while monitoring the situation in the region, stressing that safety remains its top priority.
Services to cities including Abu Dhabi, Amman, Bahrain, Doha, Dubai and Tel Aviv have been affected, with the airline saying it has been unable to operate some flights on these routes.
To support customers, British Airways introduced flexible booking options. Passengers booked on affected services have been allowed to change their travel dates without paying a change fee, while some customers have also been able to request full refunds.
The airline has also taken steps to assist travellers already in the region. In a previous update, it confirmed a special flight from Muscat to London Heathrow was arranged to help bring back customers who had been disrupted.
British Airways said it has been contacting affected passengers directly and providing support where necessary.
Alongside the additional flights to Singapore and Bangkok, the airline is effectively increasing capacity on alternative long-haul routes, giving customers more options to complete their journeys while disruption continues.
All other flights across the airline’s network are operating as normal, according to the update, and passengers are advised to check their flight status before travelling. British Airways said it will continue to monitor developments and provide further updates as needed.
