Singapore Airlines has just announced two major route expansions for 2026, introducing new daily flights to Western Sydney International Airport, Australia and Hangzhou, China.
The airline will begin daily non-stop services between Singapore and Western Sydney International (Nancy-Bird Walton) Airport on 23 November 2026, pending regulatory approvals. Operated by Airbus A350-900 medium-haul aircraft, the route will offer 303 seats, including 40 in Business Class and 263 in Economy Class.
The inaugural flight, SQ201, will depart Singapore at 11:30 and arrive in Western Sydney at 22:20 the same day. The return service, SQ202, will leave Western Sydney at 23:55, landing in Singapore at 05:05 the following morning.
Flights will operate daily through March 2027, with minor seasonal schedule adjustments from late March and further timing changes during daylight saving between April and early October 2027.

The addition of Western Sydney International Airport will increase Singapore Airlines’ Sydney services to five daily flights, complementing its four existing daily flights to Sydney Kingsford Smith International Airport.
This expansion also reinforces the airline’s presence in Australia, where it will serve eight destinations including Adelaide, Brisbane, Cairns, Darwin, Melbourne, and Perth.
Dai Haoyu, Senior Vice President Marketing Planning at Singapore Airlines, said the new service will “deliver more choice and strengthen connectivity” for travellers. Simon Hickey, Chief Executive Officer of Western Sydney International Airport, described the partnership as a milestone, highlighting the airport’s 24-hour operations and global reach.
Tickets for the Western Sydney route will be released progressively from 25 March 2026.
In addition, Singapore Airlines will launch daily flights between Singapore and Hangzhou from 1 June 2026, subject to approvals. The route will make Hangzhou the airline’s ninth destination in mainland China, with the SIA Group serving 22 destinations in total alongside Scoot.
The inaugural Hangzhou flight, SQ838, will depart Singapore at 17:40 and arrive at 22:50. The return service, SQ839, will depart at 00:10 and land in Singapore at 05:10. Flights will also use the Airbus A350-900 in the same two-class configuration.
Dai Haoyu noted the route reflects growing demand and strengthens connectivity to the Yangtze River Delta. The service will complement Scoot’s existing daily flights.
Tickets for Hangzhou flights will be available from 23 March 2026.
